Pain
Acupuncture is an excellent tool for relieving pain issues from both acute and chronic injuries. These injuries can cause sore and tight muscles, as well as achy, pinched and painful joints.
Acupuncture has been proven to reduce inflammation, release positive pain neurotransmitters like endorphins and enkephalins (feel-good hormones), and spark the body's natural healing processes.
Pain is not something that you have to live with.
Pain can be the #1 factor preventing us from thriving in our daily lives. It can start to affect the activities we enjoy, such as time with our family, leisure activities, hobbies and even life events.
Dealing with the constant sensation of pain can start to alter our mood, making us more irritable and affecting our relationship with our loved ones. Oftentimes, people with chronic pain feel that there is nothing they can do and simply put up with the pain on a daily basis. But this doesn't have to be the case. Come in for a treatment and see how good you can feel. Often times patients feel better than they ever could have imagined!
Stress
Stress management and stress relief is an integral step of preventative medicine. That being said, Acupuncture is a wonderful tool for stress management and relief. It can help reset your hormone and body chemistry systems, bring your body back to homeostasis, and give your mind a break from its stressors. All in all, it is a wonderful and powerful tool to help you maintain your mental health.
Stress has been known to account for 75%-90% of all primary care visits in the U.S.
Almost all diseases are either caused by stress, aggravated by stress, or cause stress itself. Stress has been linked to the 6 leading causes of death, including: heart disease, cancer, lung disease, accidents, cirrhosis, and suicide. Oftentimes we enter a vicious cycle where stress causes us to eat poorly, feel depressed, and even practice substance abuse, to the point where these things cause us more stress! It can quickly become a seemingly endless cycle.
